“ [Toyota Taxi Ramen Club] Men Deru Kawasaki Branch @ Kashimada Visiting Advisor Kurihara! I had the "small ramen" on my first visit in two and a half years. The soup is as rich and flavorful as ever. The extra-thick noodles have a pleasant wheat aroma and are chewy, with each bite releasing a burst of flavor. The char siu was thickly cut, with a perfect balance of fat and lean, making it juicy, tender, and flavorful the more you chew it! The portion was just right, and I was very satisfied! ー---------------- Mendel Kawasaki Branch @mendel_kawasaki 3-56-1 Komukai Nishimachi, Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture 17-minute walk from Kashimada Station ⏰11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Saturdays and Holidays) 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Closed: Wednesdays and Sundays Tabelog rating: 3.38 Google rating: 3.8 Toyotamataxi Taxi Ramen Club Introducing ramen restaurants recommended by taxi drivers driving around Tokyo. “ This was my second visit. It was after 11:00, so I was able to get in easily. This Jiro-inspired restaurant offers a topping called karaage, which was spicy. lol It's a different flavor from Jiro, and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal. ”

“ Located across from the Toshiba factory, bicycle parking is available in front of the store, and there is also parking for two cars. Enter the store, purchase your ticket at the machine on the right, and then go to the counter. Take your water and spoon and head to the counter. The store is clean and well-maintained. There is an odd sense of tension. Everyone follows the rules and waits quietly for their turn. It was lunchtime on a Saturday, but there was no line outside. You fill the counter from the side and wait until you are asked about toppings. Small is 850 yen, small is 1000 yen, so the prices have gone up slightly. This time I ordered "everything." The taste is my favorite among Jiro-style ramen. The noodles are as thick as udon and chewy. The soup seems thick, but it's so delicious you'll want to drink it. ”

“ This is a Jiro-inspired ramen shop, which is rare around here. The portions are quite large, so if you get carried away and order all the toppings like in the photo, it will be quite a challenge. For first-time customers, it's best to start with a regular ramen to see how it goes. It looks hearty, but the taste was a little more subdued compared to the original. The service was unassuming, but not in a malicious way, so I didn't find it unpleasant. ”

“ I stopped by on my way back from meeting a friend. Small ramen with quail. The noodles were the thickest I've ever eaten out of all the Jiro-inspired noodles I've had. I was surprised as I ate them. Not chewy, but slurpy. Very satisfying. Delicious. It was difficult to eat neatly because I couldn't slurp. The pork was delicious too ”

“ [Kashimada] It's about a 20-minute walk from Kashimada Station, and about the same from Yako Station. When I arrived a little after noon, there were two seats available at the seven-seat counter. One person was still purchasing a meal ticket, so I was just able to sit down. However, the sole proprietor was busy and unsure if it was okay to sit down. I hesitantly asked, and he nodded. I ordered a Petit Ramen with a quail's egg. The Petit is 200g, so it's plenty. Toppings included garlic, vegetables, fried chicken, and fish powder. The bowl arrived 10 minutes later. The thick, chewy noodles were delicious, and the soup was soft and delicious. Thank you for the meal. As I was eating, six people lined up inside the restaurant, so I had to hurry. ”

“ Wow, it's been a while since I've had such a satisfying meal! First visit on 23/05/2024. Following the instructions on the ticket machine, I bought a small bowl for 900 yen. I waited excitedly at the counter. The staff asked me if I wanted any free toppings before serving. I asked for everything except garlic. It looked like it would be served soon. The pork was even seared! It's here! What a view! It's hot! There was a layer of fat, so it was piping hot until the very end. The noodles were firm and chewy, and I was full! The meat was amazing! The soup was slightly sweet, and I drank quite a lot. It may not be good for my body, but my heart was very satisfied. The next day, I ended up throwing out noodles in the toilet. I want to come again! ”

“ Small Ramen with Extra Thick Noodles, a Little Garlic, Fish Powder, and Onion, ¥800 First visit. It was a November 2020 holiday, and I arrived 15 minutes before opening. I joined a queue of seven people, with one person following me. They opened on time. As a COVID-19 precaution, alcohol was available in front of the ticket machine. The seats were narrow and had no partitions. I bought a meal ticket and sat at the last seat. On this day, Monday, they served extra thick noodles, but once they were sold out, they switched to regular noodles. Because they were extra thick, they took a long time to boil, and even though it was the first batch, my bowl arrived about 20 minutes after I sat down. The soup was slightly sweet, with a strong pork flavor and a delicious taste. There was little liquid fat. It was a shame that it was a little lukewarm. Maybe it was because of the onions. The vegetables were mostly bean sprouts, cooked to a slightly crisp texture. The portion was quite generous. There was a little fish powder sprinkled on top. The onions were raw, easy to eat, and not too spicy. The noodles are extra thick, on par with Renji noodles. When you pick them up, you can smell the delicious aroma of wheat. They're well-cooked, so they're not too chewy, but still have a firm bite, and you need to chew them thoroughly before eating. They go down smoothly. At 250g before boiling, they're on the smaller side for a Jiro-style ramen. The pork is a standard size, tastes good, and is slightly tender, just the right firmness for my liking. I changed the flavor with black pepper and vinegar and finished it all. The vinegar worked quite well, giving it just the right taste. There was one person waiting inside when I left. The service was good. It happened to be a day when they had extra-thick noodles, so next time I'll go for regular noodles. ”
